When travelling to the charming city of Grenoble, nestled in the foothills of the French Alps, I took some time to explore my accommodation options. Eventually, I settled on the Park Hotel Grenoble – MGallery, a brand I knew and loved as an ALL Accor member. Having previously stayed at the MGallery Rotary Geneva Hotel and been thoroughly impressed, I had high expectations—and Grenoble didn’t disappoint! Located right next to the large Paul Mistral Park, this hotel offers a perfect mix of modern luxury and classic French hospitality. Here’s a glimpse of my stay, from first impressions to final thoughts.

If you’re looking for a hotel that’s central yet serene, Park Hotel Grenoble is your spot. The hotel is right next to Paul Mistral Park, which is not only beautiful but perfect for morning jogs, picnics, or just a leisurely stroll. Plus, it’s super close to the bustling city centre, so you can easily explore everything Grenoble has to offer.
I loved how convenient it was! It’s only a 10-minute car ride or a 13-minute bus journey (bus C1) from Grenoble train station, which is great for travellers. The key things to do in Grenoble, like the Grenoble Bastille cable car, museums, and cute local restaurants, are also just a short walk or tram ride away. Ideal for both business and leisure trips.
First Impressions: Chic and Welcoming
From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I was struck by how stylish it looked. The exterior has a sleek, modern facade, and as you step inside, you’re welcomed into a chic, open lobby with cosy seating on either side of the reception. The decor combines modern elegance with a dark and red colour scheme, creating a boutique charm that put me at ease instantly. The check-in process was super smooth—despite arriving at 10 a.m., way before the 3 p.m. check-in time, the friendly staff went above and beyond to have my room ready by noon. It’s those small gestures that make such a difference!

I booked a Classic room with city views, and it was everything I hoped for and more. The room had a muted colour palette that was both stylish and calming. The queen-sized bed? So comfortable, it felt like sleeping on a cloud—exactly what I needed after a day of exploring. There’s nothing like returning to a well-made bed and sinking in!
The room was well-appointed with all the essentials: a large flat-screen TV, plug sockets (conveniently located), a Nespresso machine (lifesaver!), and a minibar. A special shout-out for the complimentary still and sparkling water bottles—much needed as my weekend break in Grenoble coincided with the hottest days of the month. The air conditioning was quiet and well-positioned, so it wasn’t blasting directly over the bed, and the room stayed cool and peaceful throughout the night. While my room overlooked the main road, it was well soundproofed, so no traffic noise disturbed my sleep nor movements from my neighbours.

The bathroom was sleek and modern, complete with a luxurious rain shower, soft towels, bathrobes, and Clarins toiletries that smelled absolutely divine. Honestly, I felt pampered every time I stepped inside. A separate toilet was also added to the room’s convenience. It’s all these little touches that make for a relaxing stay.

The hotel offers a range of amenities, though it’s worth noting the fitness centre is on the smaller side. However, it’s fully equipped and perfect for getting a quick workout in during your stay.
Le Zèbre Bar is where it’s at for those who love a cosy drink. The lounge area is chic, with unique decor that makes it feel both stylish and comfortable. I had a lovely drink here before leaving and enjoyed the atmosphere, although I didn’t have the chance to try dinner in the lounge. Since I arrived late, I opted for room service.
Dining: The Highs and Lows
Breakfast at Park Hotel Grenoble was a delight—honestly, the highlight of my experience here! The spread was full of French classics (hello, fresh croissants!) along with international options like eggs, bacon, and fresh fruit. The coffee was on point, and I was pleased with the selection of teas as well. The bright, cosy breakfast room added to the pleasant start to my day.
I decided on room service for dinner and chose the tagliatelle with gorgonzola sauce. While the service was quick and the presentation neat, I have to admit, this dish didn’t hit the mark. The gorgonzola sauce was too mild, and the pasta was undercooked. That said, I’d suggest exploring other items on the menu, as I’ve heard good things from fellow guests. Definitely don’t skip breakfast, though!
Staff and Service: Truly Exceptional
The staff at Park Hotel Grenoble were a standout. From the helpful reception team to the accommodating housekeeping staff, everyone was kind and went the extra mile to ensure my stay was comfortable. They made a point to offer water bottles during my stay, and when I checked out, they even asked if I needed help with transport to the station. Small, thoughtful gestures like this made my experience feel personalized and welcoming.

In summary, Park Hotel Grenoble – MGallery ticks all the right boxes—elegant decor, fantastic service, and a superb location. While the room service pasta was a miss, the overall experience, from the luxurious room to the incredibly helpful staff, made up for it. For the price (€122 including breakfast), I’d say it’s excellent value for money. Whether you’re visiting Grenoble for business or a weekend getaway, I highly recommend this hotel for its style, comfort, and unbeatable location.
